GRANGEVILLE – The body of a man was found Saturday, south of Grangeville, near Skookumchuck Road.
On April 28, 2012, the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by a White Bird resident advising hunters had found a body on his property. Idaho County deputies, detectives and the Idaho County coroner responded to the location and found a deceased male subject. It appears the man had been there for several months. The scene was processed and the body was removed and taken to Blackmer’s Funeral Home.
Identification and cause of death are pending autopsy and further investigation. At this time it is believed to be a 64 year old Lewiston man.
